Simplifydigital
Background
Simplifydigital is a new service for consumers looking to subscribe to digital TV, broadband and/or home phone services. It radically improves on the current customer experience available on the high street and with the comparison sites online, as it demystifies the highly complex digital services market, and takes the potential customer from initial query stage, right through to sale and installation.
Set up by Charles Ponsonby, the former Marketing Director of BSkyB, Simplifydigital offer simple, free and impartial advice on finding the most appropriate and best value digital "utilities" package from suppliers including Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, BT, Setanta, TopupTV, AOL and Orange.
What we did
Line were commissioned to design the new service's website, applying the look and feel of the brand whilst immediately conveying their unique offer which is vastly different to the majority of web-based, automated services which push deals based on the commission received by the aggregator.
The site had to echo the company's "back-to-basics" approach and promote the human aspect of their service, and does this through a mixture of simple usability, direct and easy-to-understand copy, and on-brand illustration.
Search engine optimisation (SEO) was of great importance for the new start-up, so the design had to take in to account the ideal structure and content required for this purpose.
Results
Simplifydigital and its website were soft launched towards the end of 2007 and results are therefore not yet available.
