Law firms’ websites benefit from Line’s new content-management system
Line have just launched two new fully content managed sites for two of Scotland's top legal companies.
Turcan Connell and Shepherd + Wedderburn both use Line's new content-management system (CMS) framework which has been tailored to meet the individual needs of each organisation. The CMS "backend" enables control over all content, including text, images and resources such as PDFs and other downloadable files.
Frustrated by the inflexibility of the majority of content-management systems in the market, the Line team have developed the new framework to be platform-independent, rapidly deployable, easily extensible, and not to dictate the front-end website design in any way. This makes it an ideal, cost effective solution for our Clients.
Line's technical director, Ben Ausden, commented, Both clients required a content management system which would not restrict the design and navigation of their website, whilst being flexible enough to expand as and when they required additional functionality. These two sites are excellent examples that demonstrate both the robustness and versatility of the system we have developed.
Andrew Massey, creative director , said of the design challenges of both projects, Although both legal companies, the two sites required very different designs solutions. The Turcan Connell site is aimed at individuals and charities and as such was required to deliver predominantly information about the firm, its people and its services. We developed their brand to demonstrate the firm's proactive and personal approach better, by introducing both the concept of safe hands and 'distilled' textural content as page overviews. Shepherd + Wedderburn wanted a much more information rich approach, with a minimum of graphical elements, to assist their business audience in keeping up to date with changes affecting them.
