Ex-pats approach Line for a social
Line have been asked to develop a social networking site for the British ex-pat community.
The new site, called Emigro (from the Latin 'to wander forth, emigrate'), will help ex-pats all around the world to share resources and experiences or even just let users stay in touch with ex-colleagues or arrange a drink in their new city of residence. The site will include all the usual functionality associated with social networking sites as well as web-cams from all over the world — but particularly from good old Blighty so that they can watch the rain in Edinburgh from their laptop in Sydney.
The site is due for launch at the end of May 2007.
