Craig & Rose website redecoration complete
The all new e-commerce website for paint manufacturer Craig & Rose was launched today (Monday 27th March 2006) and took its first order within hours.
Craig & Rose have been making paint since 1829 and initially established their reputation by suppling paint for the world famous Forth Rail Bridge. Recent strategic direction in the company has led to a focus on the consumer trade and Line was appointed to develop their new e-commerce site.
Craig & Rose make Crayola, Bang on the Door, Kelly Hoppen, and Cath Kidston paints as well as their own Opulence and 1829 ranges, and the new site — www.craigandrose.com — is designed to give each individual paint brand its own style whilst fitting within the overall site framework. New photography was commissioned, and Line worked with a copywriter to develop the copy and tone-of-voice.
The website is fully integrated with their existing in-house Damgaard XAL ERP system. XAL automatically pushes stock information to the site, and orders placed online are pulled seamlessly into their existing XAL order processing workflow.
