Line make “Time to Burn” Flash games for BBC’s Top Gear
Line have been building a series of ten "Time to Burn" Flash games for BBC Worldwide's TopGear.com.
The flash games mimic the favourite stunts played on the top rated TV show such as Richard Hammond and James May playing Darts with Cars and Football in a Toyota Aygo, and Jeremy Clarkson trying to outrun an Apache Helicopter in a Lotus Exige. The games all feature the presenters' voices, their genuine delight and enthusiasm adding to the game play, with some also featuring secret "Easter eggs" video of the actual stunts from the show for those players good enough to successfully complete the game.
The suite of Flash games have been developed by Line at a rate of one per week with 8 of the 10 games now live at www.topgear.com/games with two more still to follow.
Since first working with us, BBC Worldwide have commissioned Line to produce HTML emails and online banner ads to promote special editions of Top Gear magazine, such as the one featuring Bond's new Aston Martin (skyscraper version shown here). The Bond brief was particularly challenging as we were unable to show the car itself or mention any trademarked names for legal reasons!
