Line shift in to top gear with newly completed project for the BBC

Line have recently completed work on a project for the BBC's Top Gear magazine.

A new official ABC readership report showed that Top Gear was the most purchased title within the automotive sector in the first half of 2005, and the only title which had not lost readership — it had in fact gained 9.64% year on year. Top Gear were keen to look at ways to celebrate this fact whilst also taking the opportunity to rub this news in their competitors' faces and approached Line for help.

The Flash-based piece Line produced used the TV show's iconic "Cool Wall" to emphasis that Top Gear is still the coolest magazine for car lovers. Featuring the voices and images of presenters Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond, the application allows the user to move selected titles around the cool wall — in the same way that Jeremy and Richard do with cars on the BBC TV show. But no matter how hard you try, the competing titles never manage to get into the "cool" section — an area reserved only for Top Gear magazine.

Sarah Norman, Marketing Executive at BBC Top Gear magazine said: We were very happy with the work Line produced for us. Their creative execution of the Cool Wall effectively conveyed the key information about circulation figures, but did so in a fun and interesting way.
